"It Is Finished!"

Those words, spoken by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ from the cross of His crucifixion nearly 2,000 years ago, announced the fact that the required sacrifice had been made, by Him, on that cross, to redeem and reconcile all of humankind to God.

The punishment for all sin had been poured out on the Son of God, the perfect man, Who, in true love, gave Himself as the sacrifice for every sin that anyone ever has or ever will commit.

Christ did all the work, and, indeed, IT IS FINISHED.....because God said so!  Praise God!

"Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption  (for us)". Hebrews 9:12

"For I delivered unto you first of all (the Gospel) which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: and that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once."  1 Corinthians 15:3-6a

In Acts 16:30, the Philippian jailer asked Paul and Silas "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" And they said "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved..." Acts 16:31

I know that the message above is the Word of God because, God the Holy Spirit witnessed to me and made it clear in a spiritual, non physical way nearly 30 years ago when I was frustrated and angered by life becaue I knew I didn't know what the truth was.  I heard the message above and I believed in the work of Jesus Christ on the cross for my salvation.  I already knew that nothing or no one else could reconcile me to the truth, because in all the years of my life, it had not happened, because I had been so busy rejecting Jesus Christ, but He remained faithful and offered Himself to me as my Savior, in my time of need.  What awesome love He demostrated toward us, in that He died for us on the cross and still loves us and offers His work to every person today, as the ONLY means of being saved from the penalty of our sin and to be reconciled to an everlasting relationship with God!


"All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: (so) that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works." 2 Timothy 3:16-17

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosover believeth on him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16

"WHOSOEVER" includes YOU!  If you will simply believe now in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ to save you from your sin and make you accepted by God the Father, you will be saved from the wrath of God which will be poured out sometime in the future.  

You already know that there is nothing you can do to gain favor with God, and now I pray that God is with you, enabling you to understand that ONLY your belief in the work of Jesus Christ on the cross can give you favor with God.

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved!
